Questions about this tour

Can I do Erg Chegaga in 2 days?

Yes, if you start in Foum Zguid. The village sits 90 minutes from the dunes by 4x4, so a 2-day trip still includes Lake Iriki, nomad visits, a sunset camel ride and a full night at camp.

What is the difference between the camp and wild camping?

This tour uses the established Berber camp: private tents with beds, blankets and bathroom facilities. The Wild Camping tour instead moves between remote spots with no other camps in sight.

Is sandboarding included?

Yes, sandboarding is optional and included on this tour, along with the sunset and sunrise camel rides.

Travelers on the dunes

“Had an incredible experience with DuneTour. Everything was well organized, the responses while booking were quick and all our questions were answered. We had a dust storm, although it didn't prevent us from going for a camel ride to the high dunes. The tents were comfortable and the food was good. What I have to point out were the people. Our guide was incredible, he was so lively and just happy to show us the desert. We were also lucky to see gazelles in the wild. Would definitely recommend.”
