Ouarzazate to Merzouga 3 days
EXCELLENT Based on 24 reviews Posted on Google H LTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Google Patricia VonkTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Mustafa was an excellent driver through the desert!! The trip was magnificent. We had a great lunch, and had a lot of time to make a walk on the sand dunes. Mustafa: thank you for the great day!!Posted on Google Krystal GrahamTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. I had a great time! The only thing is I wished that the bus hadn’t stopped so much due to overheating problems, so there’s was a delay which made the rest of the tour rushed and we almost missed the sunset. We arrived at the camp late so my jeep tour was really short, it didn’t last 1 hour as promised. Apart from those issues which is out of anyone’s control of course, i had a good experience being immersed in the culture, interacting with locals and enjoying the natural scenes.Posted on Google Karine B.Trustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Merci encore Mustapha.Posted on Google Виталия ПосаженниковаTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Posted on Google Ален КоспановTrustindex verifies that the original source of the review is Google. Had an incredible experience with dunetour. Everything was well organized, the responses while booking were quick and all our questions were answered. It was my first experience spending a night in the desert. We had a dust storm, although it didn't prevent us from going for a camel ride to the high dunes. The tents were comfortable and the food was good. What I have to point out were the people. Our guide was incredible, he was so lively and just happy to show us the desert. He really made our experience unforgettable. We were also lucky to see gazelles in the wild. Itinerary
We depart from Ouarzazate and head toward Merzouga, home to the highest sand dunes in North Africa. The Erg Chebbi desert stretches 20 km long and 5 km wide, offering a unique and diverse environment. Along the way, we’ll pass by several oases, including the oasis of Tinejdad. We continue through small Berber towns like Mellab, Touroug, Erfoud, and Rissani. After visiting the Rissani Market, we enjoy the lush Ziz–Tafilalt oasis and the black Hamada before finally reaching Merzouga.
In the morning, we begin our tour around the dunes of Erg Chebbi. We’ll visit a Berber house and enjoy Gnawa music, a tradition from Ghana and Sudan. Along the way, we explore abandoned mines, meet Berber nomads, and visit a palm tree oasis. Afterward, we head back to Merzouga for lunch and some time to relax. Later, we set off on camels for an exciting adventure in the dunes. We’ll spend the night in an equipped camp, where the rhythm of Berber drums fills the air. It’s the perfect chance to capture stunning photos of both the sunset and sunrise. When we reach the camp, we climb the high dunes to watch the sunset, then spend the night in nomad tents.
After an early sunrise, we ride the camels back to Merzouga. You’ll have time to shower and enjoy breakfast before we begin our journey back to Ouarzazate.
